BIO SKETCH FOR STEVE-EUTO MULLIS, Singer, Songwriter, Recording Artist, Instrumentalist I've written dozens of original songs at Birdie In A Cage Music Studio and have recorded @ Log Cabin Productions and Studio G in North Carolina. Additionally, I have contributed several Gospel, Country, and Folk songs to HillTop Records. One of my HillTop songs is THE MASTER OF THE SKY, my entry in the HillTop Records Online Music Festival. I consider "Master" my signature gospel song. It was written in 2010 after I'd listened to Larry Mangum's GRANDMA'S PURPLE FLOWERS, a beautiful and moving ballad about home, family, and childhood memories. The morning that I sat down with my guitar in hand to write "Master" still lingers in my heart as a significant emotional event for me. I started the song with the intention of writing a Folk or Country piece about home; however, by the time I'd reached the second verse, the real MASTER OF THE SKY evinced a subtle but meaningful shift away from the secular to a gospel message - - and so the song became the finished work you listened to - - and I hope, LIKED, just now. God continues to bless THE MASTER OF THE SKY. Thank you for helping me spread the Gospel, the Godspell, the Good News by supporting me in the festival.
